Have you ever heard of Sian Kaan? This place is known for its remarkable beauty and visiting it as part of our “Sian Kaan English Tour” is a unique experience.

The name Sian Kaan originated from the Mayan language and means “The place where heaven was born“. But what exactly can you imagine by this? Sian Kaan is a beautiful, vast biosphere reserve, located south of the Riviera Maya, on the Mexican Caribbean coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, in the territory of the municipalities of Tulum and Felipe Carrillo Puerto. What makes this place so special is that there are few locations on our planet with such incredible biodiversity. The region is home to thousands of species of plants, 115 species of mammals, 90 species of bees and countless reptiles.

For these reasons, Sian Kaan english has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. The region has a total area of 5,280 km² and is more than 120 km long. The national park consists of a unique natural environment with tropical rainforest, wetlands, coastal strips and marine ecosystems. Among others, jaguars, puma, crocodiles, sea turtles, dolphins, monkeys, rare manatees and about 379 different bird species are at home there. In the countless lagoons, channels, sea bays and beautiful coral reefs there is a rich underwater world. The beaches of Sian Kaan english are important nesting areas for many different species of sea turtles.

For the most part, human settlement is prohibited in this nature reserve. There are a few exceptions, mainly Maya who have lived on the reservation for generations. The largest settlement is a former fishing village called Punta Allen. It now serves as a resort for soft ecotourism.

Our “Sian Kaan in German” tour starts with pick up directly at your hotel. The pick-up time depends on where your accommodation is located. In our air-conditioned minibus you will also meet our German speaking guide. With the small group we make our way to our boat, with which we also plunge directly into the adventure.On this boat tour you expect a breathtaking natural scenery, dolphins, turtles, crocodiles and much more. If you also want to discover the underwater world, you can do so with the snorkeling equipment we provide. After about two hours of wonderful impressions and interesting information from our German-speaking guide, we will make a stop in the fishing village of Punta Allen, where we will fortify ourselves with delicious fish and other delicacies. After about two hours in paradise, we will return by boat to our van, which will take you back to your hotel.
